Been a While...

***WARNING - THIS IS GOING TO BE A LONG POST***

I know, it has been a REALLY long time since I have posted anything on here. We have been busy, busy, busy. Peyton is growing up so fast! She is talking in complete sentences and has hit the "terrible twos" a little early. But, we are working through it :) As frustrating as it can be with her, Peyton has a way of cracking us up. The other night Mike was getting on to her for doing something, and she looked at him and said, "Daddy, hush!" We both had to walk into the other room so that she wouldn't see us laughing! She is seriously hysterical!

Peyton is now in the "Big" building at school. It is the pre-school side. She is having a rough time adjusting when Mike drops her off. Once he leaves, she is great and by the time I get there at the end of the day, she doesn't want to leave. I am sure it will get better, but I hope it is sooner than later.

I seriously can't believe our baby girl is going to be two years old in about two months. Peyton is so much fun right now. But, man, she is into everything! My parent's were reading my grandmother's (Dad's mom, Grandma Rose, who passed away a year ago) journal the other day and she had an entry about a time when my sister and I stayed with her. She said Erin and I were so sweet and wonderful. But, that I was a "smiling tornado". Always happy and always in motion. Mike and I think that is the perfect explanation of Peyton. She is always smiling and laughing and in constant motion. Thank you Grandma Rose for describing Peyton perfectly!

Here are some pictures of what has been going on lately in the Lloyd family. We went to Corpus Christi for Labor Day weekend. We had a blast. We went to the aquarium one day on the trip and Peyton had a BLAST looking at all of the fish and marine life. We also went to Beaumont to visit with my Mom and Dad. Peyton always has fun with GiGi and Papa! As do Mike and I. Enjoy the pictures!

Yes, that is a swim diaper on Peyton's head.

Peyton and cousin Jack playing golf against each other.
They both just hit the ball and ran after it. Very amusing :)

Playing at the beach.

Gotta love the tushie! This was in between diapers.

Peyton was really hungry here... Can you tell.

This was an exhibit at the Aquarium. We were in the fish tank. Cool!

Peyton took ALL of her toys out of the bin and climbed in.
She has discovered this and does it quite often.

Trying to drink water, but very unsuccessful.

I LOVE this picture of her. She was helping Mike water the flowers.

Helping Daddy

Still helping!

Coloring with Jack-Jack. They are only 5 months apart,
so they have all sorts of fun together!

Boy, I LOVE the beach and chilling in Momma's sunglasses. So FUN!!!

Daddy and Pey-Pey in the surf. Love this picture!

Family picture at the Aquarium. If only Peyton was looking at the camera...
Oh well, maybe next time :)

In front of the shark and fish tank. Very cool. Peyton called all of the sharks, Bruce. Like in Finding Nemo, her favorite movie. She TOTALLY freaked out when we saw clown fish. She kept screaming, NEMO, NEMO!!! It was great!

Peyton eating Nutella with Papa. GROSS!!! At least I think so.
As you can see, Peyton liked it :)

I LOVE NUTELLA!

My brother came into town and we were able to meet us for lunch. Peyton actually had a great time with Uncle Matt, even though this picture doesn't look like it.

Ms. Talks-a-Lot

So, Ms. Peyton is now talking and talking and even talking some more! Here are a few clips of her. The first is her saying her ABC's, then saying her name and then singing. I was able to record her on the way home from school the other day! My co-worker put this picture montage together for me! Thanks David!!!

So Much to Say...

Well, we have been so busy with summer that I haven't had the time to update our blog in a while... Peyton is talking up a storm!!! She can say her name (and it is SOOOOO cute to hear!) and she speaks in sentences. Her first full sentence, besides Hi Mommy or Hi Daddy, was I want my yaya (her pacifier). Now she runs around telling us what she wants, food, juice, milk, outside, color, whatever it is... Life sure has changed in the past year :) And I love it. I will have to get a video of her talking some more, because it is non-stop!

Just a quick photo of her. This was from the photo-shoot for Mike's Father's Day present. Again, my friend Courtney did an outstanding job and I can't thank her enough!!!! This is one of my favs. I think she might have trouble cheering on the correct team???

Guns Up or Hook 'Em... we just can't tell yet :)

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to every Dad I know out there! Hope you had a great day. Well, for Mike's Father's Day present, I asked my dear friend Courtney to take some pictures of Peyton and me. But, mostly of Peyton. This would be Mike's present. They turned out better than I had ever imagined! We took about 200 pictures that day. Here are just a few of the ones that I loved!!! Mike loved them all too! Enjoy!!!

P.S. Thank you again, Courtney! They are all perfect and you made this Father's Day very special for my family! I love you!!!!

We had so much fun that day! All of the images were great!
Who knew Peyton was so photogenic!

Family Trip

This past weekend we went to our dear friend's house in Montgomery. Julie and Patrick McLendon and their precious little boy Will. Peyton and Will and SO much fun together and we had a blast catching up with them. They live in Bentwater and have a beautiful house. It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend with many laughs! We also got to see Jennifer and Brandon Novosad and their beautiful girls, Malley and Parker. Malley, Peyton and Will are all very close in age and they really got along great! It was a perfect weekend. Hopefully, we can do this again soon. Here are some pictures from the weekend and from our trip to the lake a few weekends back.

Will and Peyton having fun on the trike :)

Early morning watching cartoons.

Every time Peyton went to the bathroom, Will would stand outside the door and just wait for her to get out. It was really cute!

Playing with the vacuum. Learning early...

Peyton and Malley feeding the ducks.

Precious Parker.

If you look closely, this crane has a fish in its mouth... It kept swooping in and getting them. It was soooooo cool!

Dad's helping the kiddos.

Peyton walking with Julie!

Peyton sat like this all weekend.

School Pictures!

I hope you are doing well and staying cool. Looks like summer has officially kicked off here in Austin. Good times are going to be had by this family in the next coming weeks. We are going to Montgomery - it's outside Conroe - to visit some dear friends, The McLendon's, and stay the weekend. Then father's day fun. In July, I am going to Las Vegas for work (and a little fun :)) and then Mike and I are going to Cancun!!! THEN, we are going to Port Aransas for Labor Day! YEAH, fun times. We are going to be busy for sure!

Okay, so let me explain the picture below. I was told that this photographer at Peyton’s school really freaked the kiddos out. Most of the kids were screaming in their pictures. This picture was a bit too cute to pass up. I hope you enjoy!

Sad, but precious!!! I love it!

On Wednesday, a petting zoo came to Peyton's school and she got to pet bunnies and donkeys. Angela, her teacher, said that she had a blast and didn't want to go back inside. She loves to love and hug on things! It is really cute! The first picture is of her and Austin, her friend, playing with the bunnies.

Next week, the school starts splash days with the kids. This will be so fun!!! I can't wait for the pictures of that!

I love Bunnies!!!
