Saturday in the Park...

The other day we went to Zilker Park. My mom was in town, so she went with us too. Peyton and Mike fed a squirrel, it ate out of Mike's hand. Amazing!!! We flew a kite and had a wonderful time! These are pictures taken from the outing. We had such a great day!

On a not-so-happy note, Peyton has always been fascinated with the train at Zilker. But this time, she was completely freaked out by it. Not sure why, but she cried and held on to me when she saw it. It was pretty sad. Mike REALLY wanted to ride on it, like he did when he was younger. But Peyton wasn't having any part of it. Maybe next time we can get her on it :)

I sure am a lucky girl having these two in my life :)

Daddy teaching Peyton.

I love this!

WOW! It is so high!

Look up and you can see the kite :)

Napping with My Daddy

On Sunday, Mike and Peyton decided to take a quick nap together and I was lucky enough to get this shot. If you look closely, you can see that Peyton gave Mike her bunny that she always sleeps with. It was just to sweet, and I couldn't pass up on this precious moment.

Catching Up - Me Llamo Peyton

Welcome to 2010!!! Time is flying by, can't believe we are already through January and into February. We have been really busy with parties, traveling around town, and just plain life. It has been so much fun!

Well, let's see... The big news is that Peyton is in a big-girl bed. And she loves it!!! She was so excited when we put it together for her that she wanted to go to sleep at 6:00! Two hours early!!! It was very cute.

Peyton is also taking Spanish lessons at school. The first day she came home with a sticker that read, "Me llamo Peyton." I asked her what she said and her response was, "Me llamo Peyton. Your llamo is Mommy and your llamo is Daddy!" It was very funny! But, she has been doing great in the classes. She sings a song in Spanish and runs around yelling her colors in Spanish. Very fun!

Needless to say, things are going well in the Lloyd household. Here are some recent pictures.

Fun Times!

On Sunday, we went to breakfast with Christopher Hansford (Mike's best bud since age6), CJ (his son) and Jeanette, Chris' mom. CJ and Peyton had so much fun playing. Below are some pictures of the duo after we were done eating. They always fun together.

Happy day :)

CHEEEEEEEEEESE!

This was taken at Granny and Papaw's house on Thanksgiving. She was walking backwards and trip on the monkey grass. She laid there for like a minute cracking up. It was hilarious!

Peyton blowing out birthday candles at Grams and Grandpa's house on Thanksgiving. She did a great job. And as you can see, Mike wanted to help out. Cindy made a pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing. It was FABULOUS!!!!!!!

Birthday Girl

I can't believe my baby girl is TWO! The past two years have been so exciting. Full of laughter, fun and new adventures. Sure, we had our rough spots with Peyton, but she is a joy and I adore her. She is so darn smart. I swear, she is going to be smarter than her parents :) She is talking ALL of the time, running around, climbing and loves a great adventure.

Mike took her to the doctor this morning for her two-year check up and she is doing fabulous! Here are her stats:
  • Head Circumference - 18.75 (20-50th percentile)
  • Height - 34.5 (50th percentile)
  • Weight - 30 (70-90th percentile)

Doctor Joe said that she is doing great! We think so too!!

Here are just a few pictures from the wonderful two years that she has been here. Every day is a new adventure with her and I usually can't wait for her to wake up every morning! She is just perfect, at least I think so :) Oh, once I get the pictures from her party this past weekend off of the camera, I will post them.

My favorite picture! She was about 2.5 months.

At about 8 months.

Happy Belated Halloween

Happy Halloween a bit late this year! Hope everyone had a great time. We went to my parent's house and Peyton went Trick-or-Treating with her cousins Jenna and Jude. They had SO much fun. Below are some pictures. Peyton was a cupcake - one of her favorite things right now. Yes, I made the costume, so be nice to me... :)

The Holidays are right around the corner and we can't wait! I just love this time of year. Extended time with family, great food and football. Life doesn't get much better than this!

Peyton will be two in just a few weeks. I still can't believe it. Crazy how fast time has been flying. Happy early birthday my sweet angel! Stay tuned for pictures from the party.

And for Halloween pictures...

They were so cute running around at the school carnival. Too cute!!

This knitted cap has a GREAT story.
My great-aunt, Sister Justin, knitted this for Peyton. She is 92 years old and has just taken up knitting. I LOVE the hat, as does Peyton. She looks so cute in it and runs around the house saying, "My hat is cute!" Thank you Sister Justin, you are very sweet to think of Peyton and send this to her. I love you!
