Catching Up With Peyton

So, we have had tons going on at our house lately! Peyton is growing like a weed! I will be able to give you better details in a week or so when she has her 9-month well-check. Yep, NINE MONTHS!!! Can you believe it! It is just crazy! She is finally putting on the pounds now and weighs about 17 pounds. She is still pretty tiny when you put her next to all of her friends. But she is doing great! She is now crawling EVERYWHERE!!!! She is also trying to take steps. She will probably be walking pretty soon. It is really great and exciting! It is also VERY SCARY for mom and dad! We are constantly making sure she isn't getting into anything or banging her head on something. There is never a dull moment at the Lloyd house :)

On August 3, we had Peyton baptized. Yep, no more original sin for our angel! She did great! She didn't even cry at all. Actually, she was talking and making noises the whole time! My sister and brother are her Godparents. We are very happy that they agreed to guide our baby and be there for her! We had our family and friends out to the house before the ceremony. There were like 30 people at our little 1,200 sq. ft. house!!! Good thing we were all family, cause we were packed in our house because it was about 100 degrees outside! Once I get some pictures, I will add them on here. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it! We missed those who weren't able to be with us.

On Monday, August 11, Peyton got tubes in her ears. She had had 5 ear infections in 8 months. So, it was time. We went to the Surgery Center on Monday at 6:00 am. They took Peyton back at 7:00 and she was finished by 7:10. We were home by 8:00 am! Can you believe it! She is already doing so much better. She was a bit fussy on Monday, but was back to her normal self by Monday night. Kiddos are amazing!!! Below are some pictures from the procedure. We had to put her in a hospital gown. It was sooooo sad!

Dancing Queen

We have a little dancing queen now! It is pretty cute. I put her activity table together last night and she LOVED it!! The second video is of Peyton in bed kicking on the bars. This has become a nightly ritual for her. Sorry it is a bit dark, Enjoy!!!

Here are two videos of Peyton. One is of her crawling around. She starting scooting about two weeks ago, but now, she is off! The other video is of Peyton playing with her reflection in our mirror in the bathroom. It was pretty funny. She will be eight months old on Thursday! I can barely believe it! Time really does fly :)

4th of July Fun!

We had so much fun this past weekend at my parent's beach cabin. Jenna and Jude (Peyton's cousins) had a blast with her! I will post some more pictures when I get them from my sister and mom. The 4th was pretty uneventful for Peyton, she was asleep before any of the big festivities happened. But she did have fun in her swing during the day. Thanks GiGi and PaPa for putting it up for me :) Hope everyone's 4th was full of fun and excitement!!

Here is a video of Emma, Jack and Peyton playing at Gram's and Grandpa's (Cindy and Bill) house. I thought it was pretty cute, you can hear Peyton scream when Jack takes the toys away from her. To Jack's defense, the blocks were his. We had fun playing with the cousins!!
